Prepare

1. Prepare for conferences

• Make sure you have your progress report filled out.
• Make sure you have easy access to your projects. Make a folder so you can find your work quickly.
• Decide 3 or 4 top things you want to show to your parents/guardians/brothers/sisters.
  
• Clean up your desktop. Put any random photos in a folder.

Please answer these questions with full sentences, proper grammar and correct punctuation.

Remember to list your sources. (Where did you get the information?)

Be sure to answer the questions with 3-5 sentences each. Give the who, what, where, when, why and who cares of each answer.

1. Give a review of the Suns season opener. (Who did they play? Where did they play? Who scored the most? Which big-name player do the Suns not have this season? What was the score?)

2. Find some articles about the storm yesterday in Phoenix. Write about what happened. (Was there any damage? Any injuries? What kind of precipitation fell?)

3. What happened at a Florida school that resulted in a boy's year-long suspension?

4. What happened in Chile? What is going on to help the people? How long have they been trapped? When will they be saved?

5. What do you think about the Galileo test? Do you think you were ready for it? Do you think it correctly measures what you know?

Yearbook Ideas

Open a WORD document and brainstorm student life coverage.

One of the main purposes of a yearbook is to look back on your school days 20 years from now and see what you did and what was going on.

Look at these brainstorming questions and answer 5 of them. When brainstorming, you don't need to have full sentences or a certain number of paragraphs. Just get your ideas written down.
